
Not so long after Samsung announced their 64 GB SSD product, Firstor (www.paxdisk.com) announces their 2.5-inch SSD flash disk with the same capacity either. PaxDisk Flash 64GB SSD using SATA data connection which allow higher data transfer rate than IDE (ATA) connector. SATA connection is able to deliver data up to 3.0 Gbit/s. The latest model of PaxDisk Flash SSD will have 128 GB capacity and it is expected to be available on market starting from September this year.
Firstor has been developed SSD Flash disk for several years. Starting from October 2005 they were producing 2.5 inch PaxDisk Flash SSD with 16 GB data storage capacity. On June 2006 they were presented PaxDisk Flash SSD with 32 GB capacity and starting from October 2006 they were mainly using flash memory produced by Hynyx.
