The First 4G Phone, HTC EVO

We all know that recently the Sprint has already announced the HTC EVO 4G as the world’s first 3G/4G Android smartphone, and this great phone will soom be available on their network. This EVO 4G, up until now, is still only one of two phones which offer their user the ability to surf the web at 4G speeds, where available.

Sprint says that their 4G WiMAX network will now offer the peak download speeds of more than 10Mbps, with also the peak upload speeds of 1Mbps. So, maybe the average download speeds will range from 3 to 6 Mbps. When there is no 4G network available, the EVO will connect to Sprint’s 3G network which has the average download speeds of 600kbps–1.4Mbps.

This amazing EVO 4G price is almost the same as the other high-end smartphones, which is $199.99 after the applicable discounts and complete with the two-year contract. But, because of the 4G speeds support needed by this phone, the Sprint will then add about $10 per month “Premium Data” service fee to your bill. Besides, there is also the offering for the optional Mobile Hotspot feature which will let you share the high-speed Internet connection for you.
