Android Beat Apple Again?

In 2011, the global sales for smartphones have reached about 468 million units, which is a quite fantastic number and a great increase from the sales in 2010. The increase is about 57% of the total sales number, and guesses who’s dominating the sales? Yup, it’s none other than the Android operating system. According to the study and research, about 49% of the whole population is using smartphones with Android system. It seems that in 2015, the total use of open operating system will reach about 67%, which is quite a fantastic number.

The reason for such favor of Android system is none others than its open system method. Everyone loves the idea of having great and powerful operating system, where they can modify it on their own or they can get free source. The second place for the most popular operating system is the Apple, with its iPhone products.

Another advantage of using Android operating system is that they’re available for free – even if you have to buy several certain software or applications, you only need to spend s little money – and can be adjusted and customized according to the users’ need. With this trend going one, it seems that the future will look very good for Android manufacturers.
