Asus Eee PC 1000h is ready for Windows 7

It looks like the owner of Asus Eee PC 1000h will become the first netbook user who embrace windows 7 Operating system. According to Joanna Stern who runs a test of Windows 7 on Asus EeePC 1000h, the test result was promising. The Eee PC 1000h running a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor and 1GB of RAM handles the windows 7 operating system pretty well. It takes 58 seconds for the system to boot the OS. The improved Network Manager feature on windows 7 might just be perfect for netbooks such Asus Eee PC and connecting to available wireless network was simple.

Beyond the wireless connection manager, things are pretty smooth in terms of performance. During the test the Asus Eee PC 1000h running Skype for the entire evening and it didn’t have any hang ups while simultaneously chatting on Skype, editing pictures in GIMP and uploading video files using Filezilla. The windows 7 operating system still in beta version, and we hope the final version will improve it’s overal performance index especially when it runs on a budget netbook
