This Inspiron’s value notebook series from Dell is a good choice for user who want all around performance with moderate budget. Powered by new Intel® CoreTM Duo and CoreTM 2 Duo Processors, Inspiron E1405 has similar speed as other notebook on this class.
With its estimated weight starting at just 2.4 kg, its a little bit heavy but still comfortable to carry away. Its 14.1-inch widescreen display is packed into a compact design, so you can comfortably use your notebook on planes, trains or anywhere. Its standard working memory is 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm enough to run Windows Vista seamlessly. But according to the recent news, Dell will gives optional Linux OS preinstalled. Yeah great.
The storage device is 80GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive, not huge but spacious enough for a lot of data. Its sibling’s Inspiron E1405 comes with bigger Hard Drive 120GB and 2 GB memory but obviously the later is more expensive.
