Eee PC 1000 finally arrives in UK

Good news for Asus EeePC fans whose eagerly awaiting to get the first Eee PC 1000. According to Biosmagazine two models of Eee PC 1000 are available in UK. One model features an 80GB traditional hard drive storage and Windows XP operating system, while the other (£369) comes complete with Linux and, 40GB shock-proof SSD, and a bonus 20GB of free online storage.

Both models incorporate Intel’s Atom Processor, the smallest processor built with the world’s smallest transistors. The Eee PC 1000 comes with a range of applications like e Connect and E Splendid which was designed to enhance your communication and computing experience.

E Connect provides a straight forward and simple route of enabling wireless or LAN connections and cleverly offers the facility of linking up with other Eee PCs through a remote desktop feature. Built in Bluetooth provides the added functionality of transferring data more efficiently, and complete connectivity is topped with WiMax options (WiFi 802.11n).

E Splendid can help bring light and clarity to a moving image when you feel the picture is running on the dark side. In addition to this new range of features, the Eee PC 1000 is also equipped with the exclusive Super Hybrid Engine technology which offers a choice of performance and power consumption modes, enabling you to adjust your power needs and providing up to 7.5 hours of battery life.
