A very nice feature of Firefox is possibility to install add-on that we need. This possibility reflects Firefox adaptability to our requirements and our hardware specs as well. If you only need a plain Firefox to surf Internet without additional feature it’s fine and already equipped with all feature of security which gives you protection against exploitation. But if you have specific requirements, for example email notification then you have a wide possibility to increase Firefox’s feature with add-on.
I think it is good idea to share about Firefox add-on installed on my computer, so you can use it as well. Feel free to add more add-on that I have not listed at the moment, because your information could be useful for me and for other visitor.
- Download Sort - Saves Downloads automatically in different directories.
- Download Statusbar - A better way of displaying downloads in Firefox.
- Firebug - Great for Web Development. I use it a lot to design and to evaluate my site performance.
- Gmail Notifier - Lets you know if new mail arrived in your gmail mailbox.
- Gmail Space - Use Gmail to store files. It gives you FTP-like user interface for easy upload and download
- Google Toolbar for Firefox - It is bundled with Firefox when you downloading Firefox via banner at the bottom of this article.
- Auto Copy -Copies selected text automatically to the clipboard.
- Greasemonkey - very useful in conjunction with scripts from userscripts. You can get new themes for your Gmail for example
- Screen grab - saves the whole website as a picture file. A great way to get screen capture.
- Send Tab URLs - Emails the URLs of all browser tabs
- Tab Mix Plus - Adds lots of functionality to tabbed browsing.
- Translator - translate foreign web pages.
- UI Tweaker - tweak Firefox menu and toolbar.
- Video Downloader - download videos from sites like youtube.
- Customize Google Well… even Google need customization to remove their ads for example
- Flash Block To block all embedded flash on a website until you allow it to play. Apparently reduces loading time and saves your bandwidth.
- No Script. It gives you more protection against exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality

Obviously I also installed Tweak Network to improve Forefox browsing speed as I explained on my previous post.
