Nokia will launch 5 budget phones and Nokia Life Tools in Indonesia in next month. They are Nokia 1280, Nokia 1616, Nokia 1800, Nokia 2220 slide and Nokia 2690. The worldwide customers can get those phones in Q1 2010.
Nokia 1280, Nokia 1616 and Nokia 1800 will be sold at the price tag of EUR 20, EUR 24 and EUR 26 respectively (before taxes and subsidies). Among their features are FM radio, prepaid tracker, flashlight, anti-scratch cover and dust-resistant keymat and the other features. Their battery life can reach 22 days standby time. This long battery life will be beneficial if you are in area with limited electricity.
The Nokia 2220 slide and Nokia 2690 has price tag of EUR 45 and EUR 54 (before taxes and subsidies) respectively. Those phones have email support on the device via Ovi Mail. Among their highlighted features are FM radio, VGA camera, GPRS and MMS support, phone books with up to 1,000 contacts, and Bluetooth. Their battery life has standby times up to 20 days and 13 days respectively.
The phones will be shipped in 2 parts. The first is before the end of 2009 and the second is first half of next year.
Nokia Life Tools will be started at the early of December 2009. It is a kind of the Agriculture service (for Sumatra and Java) as well as Education and Entertainment services (nation-wide).
