Windows Vista Service Pack (SP) 2 is ready although it still in beta version. Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) Beta is an update to Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. With this SP patch, you can update and remove all security bugs from your Windows Vista or Windows server with single installation. Windows Vista SP2 Beta applies to individuals, organizations, and technical enthusiasts who are comfortable evaluating pre-release software. This pre-release software is provided for testing only. Microsoft doesn’t endorse to use this beta version for critical system, but if you want to test it on stand alone windows vista machine you may proceed to download it.
In addition to all previously released updates, SP2 will contain changes focused on addressing reliability and performance issues, supporting new kinds of hardware, and adding support for several emerging standards. SP2 will also continue to make it easier for IT administrators to deploy and manage large installations of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Service Pack 1 is a prerequisite for installing Service Pack 2. Please make sure that your system is running Service Pack 1 before you install Service Pack 2.
This is a download that can be installed on Windows Vista SP1 (32-bit or 64-bit) installations.
