Do you often make notes in your desktop? If so, you may use sticky notes, the quick way for making notes. But you know this can make your desktop remain untidy. In order to manage your notes, Tomboy is designed for you. It can help you make and manage notes on your PC’s desktop.
Maybe the installation process is not so simple. Here you need another program namely GTK#, you can download it in http://ftp.novell.com/pub/mono/gtk-sharp/gtk-sharp-2.12.9-2.win32.msi.
Unfortunately the software usage is also not explained. There are instructions on the site but it is talking about creating a new note in Windows using Gnome’s option. Actually there is an icon in Notification Area provides you facility to that function. Instead you can press ALT and F12 to make Tomboy menu displayed.
If you have overcame those things, Tomboy is cool. You will be able to link noter together in order to prevent too long note. Installing plugins can also be done in Tomboy.
This open source program has Max OS X version and also Linux. Just go to Tomboy download page.
