Browsing with Firefox is relatively secure if compared with Internet Explorer. However, many websites out there running the scripts on their site. Those scripts are range from the benign one to the dangerous one. NoScript has function to prevent these scripts to run in you Firefox.
Once a script is blocked, NoScript places a bar with options button in the bottom screen. Using the options you can mark a website as trusted so NoScript will not block it and so on. If you fell that bar annoys your view, just make it hidden by set it to disappear after a limited time. If you would like sound reminder, NoScript has option for it. Another way, you can put the website in whitelist thru options window.
The toolbar can be added with a button thru quick options which the button can allow or block a script on a webpage. Yes, we know that Firefox is more secure than IE but however NoScript is worth a try.
