After Toshiba unveiled a prototype of methanol fuel cell mobile charger for mobile devices not so long ago. Now Panasonic following the same eco-friendly track by announcing two prototypes of methanol fuel cell battery. When combined with Li-ion battery the methanol fuel cell battery was able to power a notebook for 20 hours only using 200 cc methanol.
Since Panasonic developer team have designed this fuel cell battery to power a mobile devices such as laptop, they’ve worked so hard to reduce the overall size and retain a high power output. Further development stage of this fuel cell technology will be focusing on design miniaturization and low-cost production technology as well as improving long-term reliability.
