November 5th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Here you are a new mini-notebook from Fujitsu the Lifebook U820. The LifeBok U820 is so tiny with unit dimension 6.73″(w) x 6.14″(d) x 1.46″(h) that I wondered if we can type a document fast enough using those tiny keyboard. But don’t under estimate the power that lies inside this mini-notebook. Fujitsu LifeBook powered by the Intel(R) Centrino(R) Atom(TM) Z530 (1.6GHz) processor with 1 GB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM dual-channel memory. It also features 5.6-inch Crystal View WXGA touch screen that support 1280 x 800 resolution, Integrated 1.3 mega-pixel webcam, 60 GB or 120 GB, 1.8-inch HDD, Integrated Atheros XSPAN® (802.11a/b/g/draft-n) and Secure Digital (SD) Card slot.

That wasn’t enough because the LifeBook U820 has Built-in GPS receiver and comes with integrated Garmin Mobile(R) PC software. This is the real plus point for LifeBook U820 because we can use this mini-notebook for GPS navigation. The Lifebook U820 for US market is preloaded with maps of the U.S. and Canada, millions of destinations and points of interest, turn-by-turn directions, and route planning. New Maintains security features including fingerprint sensor and BIOS lock, and adds a Kensington lock slot to deter physical theft. LifeBook U820 priced starting at $1,049(1) for a base configuration.
