It looks like the biggest iPhone rival has arrived. Recently GARMIN unveil their plan to release mobile phone within their speciality. A GPS mobile phone set called Nüvifone. The Nüvifone is a 3.5G handset with built-in satellite navigation capability.
According to Garmin as Nüvifone manufacturer:
“…nüvifone, an all-in-one, sleek and slim, touchscreen device that combines a premium phone, mobile web-browser, and cutting-edge personal navigator…”
“The all touchscreen device is the first of its kind to integrate premium 3.5G mobile phone capability with an internet browser, data connectivity, personal messaging, and personal navigation functions in one device. When powered on, the 3.5-inch touchscreen display reveals three primary icons — “Call,” “Search,” and “View Map” which allow the user to effortlessly master the nüvifone’s functions.”

In other word, Instead of the Apple iPhone hype the Garmin nüvifone has all features of the iPhone plus it has a reliable GPS, it can geotagging your picture directly, and integrates those image with Google Map or Google Local Search. What a great GPS phone. Traveler and adventurer will eagerly wait for the Garmin Nüvifone release around 3rd quarter of 2008.
