kindle 2 stephen king

I know I should’ve written about this a few days earlier. But, just like they say, it better be late than never. So, here it is, the news about one of the smartest invention this century.

If you like to read on Kindle and Stephen King is your favorite author, than you’re going to be thrilled by this new edition from the online store giant. The brand new Kindle 2 from Amazon came with an exclusive King’s novel UR. It was announced during the live conference at Morgan Library on February 9th.

The reading device will cost you $359. With the size of .36 inches, this baby is quite slim, slimmer than the angular one. It even thinner than the iPhone. The new great feature is the one called Read to Me, which enables the gadget to read the content back to you in a pleasant enough computerized voice.

A few more information:

* Amazon is still working on international release, but has nothing to announce at this time, and wouldn’t even confirm a launch this year.
* Battery is non-removable.
* There will be no Kindle 2-exclusive content, and some of the software improvements will be pushed to the original Kindle — Whispersync is a shoe-in, text-to-speech is a no.
