October 4th, 2009 · No Comments

Previously Netgear had announced their 3G Mobile Broadband Wireless Router on CES event this year. This unit namely MBR624GU will enable your USB WWAN stick to be the internet source which the other WiFi enabled devices such as computers and handsets can access it. If you want your USB WWAN stick to be functioned as above so you need to plug it in the router’s rear or USB dongle. Then just turn it on to connect to Ethernet or WiFi.

This unit is lightweight yet compact so it will be the good choice for traveling. When you want to utilize this unit when traveling so you have to bring AC adapter and power inverter. Upon launching the connection, you have to fill your router name, password and so on. This unit has the similar speed with the common USB connection but you can consider this for flexibility. At the same time you can connect about 2 phones and 3 laptops it will work.

Using this unit is that easy and you can choose the Ethernet socket for alternative. Keeping plugged with turned off power can be done effectively because it has power button plus WiFi Protected Setup or WPS. Unfortunately you cant meet the WAN Ethernet jack here, so the device cant be doubled like the other standard WLAN router. The unit will be priced at $100.
