Novatel Wireless today launched two model of HSPA USB modem the Ovation MC990D & MC992D. The USB HSPA modem offering high speed data transfer capability for Internet connection around the world. the Ovation MC990D & MC992D works with multiple frequency band operation on HSPA, WCDMA, EDGE and GPRS networks which provides a wider connectivity.
The Ovation MC990D model has been optimized for HSPA networks in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (900 & 2100 MHz bands) while The MC992D model implemented receiver diversity optimized for HSPA networks in North America (850 & 1900 MHz bands).
The actual data transfer is relatively depend on the network condition but the Ovation has been engineered to reach a peak download speeds of 7.2 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5.76 Mbps.
This USB HSPA modem featuring an extremely streamlined form factor (70 x 25 x 13.5 mm) and also can be use as data storage. The Ovation MC990D and MC992D will be available in Q3 through a variety of Novatel Wireless’s tier-one operator customers.
