Ovi Application Store by Nokia

Nokia, as one of biggest cellular phone producers, owns Ovi for internet services. You can use the Ovi through mobile devices, such as Noka E72 and C3, or through web by browsing ovi.com. Five sellingpoints from this brand are games, maps, media, messaging and music. By launching this service, Nokia is trying to enter the world where leaded by Microsoft, Google and Apple, it is internet services world. This service also lets users to download third party application through Ovi store. Customers can download many games, application or media files such as videos, images and ring tones. As a service for users, Ovi provides some items that free of charge, though the rest are not.


Nokia official was saying that the Ovi application store is quite different from other similar application stores. By connecting to other Ovi users, this application store lets you to know what application that you might like or what your ovi-friends have already bought. However, there are some users that disappointed after using it. They said the navigation is quite complicated. And there are some reports that users could not log on to the new service. But after that reports delivered to the Ovi team, the service seems have better performance.
