Samsung rant that has been rumored for several weeks for being similar to LG Rumor finally arrived. Sprint recently announced the availability of Samsung Rant and it sells exclusively with their network contract. The Samsung rant handset features a large 2.1” display, a traditional keypad on the front, 2 megapixel camera with self shot mirror and a side-slide QWERTY keyboard. The device measures 114 x 53 x 18 mm
Samsung Rant reviews
Phonearena review of Samsung rant and it writes :
The Rant has a unique feel in the hand, definitely much more solid than the Rumor. The slide is way more reassuring, offering both more resistance but better spring when engaged. Though both are a hefty 18mm thick, the Rant feels thicker due to the noticeable weight difference. That it is taller and wider allows the keyboard to be bigger, a worthy trade off. Overall the best word we can use to describe the Rant is “solid,” though the bigger size and increased weight may be a turn off for some.
Cnet review of Samsung rant and it writes :
On the whole, it appears to have a solid construction, and it has a comfortable feel in the hand. The controls seem user-friendly, and the keyboard in particular has a spacious design. We imagine that this phone will have a lot of appeal for frequent texters. The only thing we can’t get over is the name. We’re guessing that the messaging-centric phone will allow users to go on a texting “rant,” but we’re still scratching our heads.
Endgadget review of Samsung rant and it writes :
Those crazy new Samsungs and LGs (well, LG singular) reppin’ Sprint’s fall lineup have dropped into stores dressed and ready for retail, and text fanatics are definitely the ones making out like bandits here. Starting out on the low end, the Samsung Rant drops by for $49.99 on contract in your choice of red or black, giving the LG Rumor some solid competition and upping the ante with EV-DO.
Infosyncworld review of Samsung rant and it writes :
the Samsung Rant will get the full Power Vision treatment, with GPS navigation as well as access to the Sprint Music and Sprint TV apps, as well as the Sprint One Touch interface app that we got to like quite a bit in our hands-on tests.

This phone sucks unless you want to be connected to the internet or have good enough reception where you don’t need to be roaming because it doesn’t switch to just roaming. Never known a phone that doesn’t switch to just roaming.
