Sony vs Kindle

The Reader Daily Edition, Sony’s latest Reader in their 2009 lineup had been introduced last week. This Reader has equipped with 3G support that finally being the Sony’s answer towards the gap within Amazon’s e-reader and their products.

This product has different content and purchasing with Kindle. This latest Sony’s product, Reader Daily Edition is sold with price tag of $400 that will be a blending within $200 Pocket Edition and $300 Touch Edition. Talking about Pocket Edition, it seems that this Reader will be the best selling considering its cheap price and nice portability.

Sony has expanded its strategy in their library integration for the free book lending besides adding wireless to the products. Pocket Edition will fill the $200 gap and the Daily Edition will fill another gap within $490 Kindle DX and $300 Kindle 2.

Daily Edition has widescreen display that offers you the great experience for reading media such as newspaper columns. Compared with Kindle 2, Daily Edition is better with its support for touch screen and wireless access. Daily Edition will support Sony’s store and other booksellers that has EPUB format in their electronic publications.
