Sony VAIO VGN-NR240E review

Since quite a few years Sony has been manufacturing laptops of varying costs. Sony as a brand is trustworthy and their techno products are widely used for modern day computing. Each model has its own advantages and disadvantages. Sony has many loyal customers who have been hugely benefited by their products.

Sony Vaio VGN-NR240E/w is a 15.4” Laptop. The primary memory capacity is 1 GB RAM. The hard drive has capacity of 200 GB. The operating system installed is of vista premium. The processor is from Intel company i.e. Intel Pentium dual core T2330.the notebook weighs 2.9 kgs.

The special feature is the graphics card. The graphics adapter is also from Intel. The graphics adapter is Intel graphics media accelerator (GMA) X3100.The Vaio Vgn-Nr240e/W can be easily considered as a costly notebook amongst others. In order to cut the prices Sony has sliced few corners of the otherwise good designed model.

This is a dynamic device for any computer applications with special reference to quick Internet handling and productive output. Memory functioning is relatively slow. In the hurry to reduce the costs the common PC-5300 memory usage is avoided which a rather poor idea thought by Sony.

Another feature is the lustrous model designing. The regular and common designs are replaced by a more beautiful casing of white color. Several choices of peripheral connectors are also provided. Different card types are supported as instead of the larger ExpressCard/54, ExpressCard/34 slot are used. There are provisions for four USB 2.0 ports.

The 200 GB hard drive is the major benefit which this notebook provides. This is around 25% more than the normal 160GB which many laptops support. With such a huge storage capacity greater amount digital media can be stored. If one can bear the shortcomings, which is not so easy because one is paying a high price for this, the notebook is otherwise usable.
