The Yamaha Muro Sensor is a stick-like device equipped with a triaxial acceleration sensor that can be used to play music by sensing the direction and speed of acceleration. The Muro sensor is using pretty similar technology we see in Nintendo Wii Remote controler. The Yamaha Muro Sensor however uses a proprietary 2.4GHz wireless module to transmit the values of the acceleration to the user’s PC.

YDS-11SL iPod dock from Yamaha

Yamaha recently announced a new iPod accessories the YDS-11SL iPod dock. This iPod dock allows users to play the digital music stored on their iPods and channeled into their home theater system. However the dock was designed to connect to Yamaha’s receivers in order to provide full control via the home theater electronics maker’s remote.
